Adaptation Surroundings


  • Animals adapt to their surroundings by camouflaging
  • There is a difference between a turtle and a tortoise Tortoise can not swim. Turtles can swim.
  • Penguins and Polar Bears have the same surroundings, but they do not live in the same places. Polar bears live in antarctica which is the bottom of the world, closer to New Zealand. Penguins on the other hand live in the arctic, which is at the top of the world
  • Rattlesnakes rattle their tails to threaten the predators off. This means that if the predator is still annoying the rattlesnake, it has no choice but to attack and dig their fangs in.

  • Camels can go 2 weeks without water. Because they have pouches that stores water.

  • Reindeers does not have a purpose for their antlers. The reason being for this, is because their antlers fall off every year then another group of antlers grow back.
  • Tortoise protect themselves from the sun by living underground away from the extremely high conditions.
  • Polar Bears have black skin, although their skin appears to be white, it is actually transparent.
  • Yaks are known to be the most furriest animals that lives in the mountains AKA the Himalayas.
  • Polar bears have 42 teeth
  • Arctic foxes change the color of their fur with the changes in the season. In winter they are white to blend in with the snow, then in the summer the shed their skin and become brown.
  • Tortoise can go 1 year without water



  • Penguins:
Penguins are a group of aquatic, flightless birds, living in the southern Hemisphere especially in antarctica. Most penguins feed on Krill, Fish, squid and other sea life that is caught while in the sea. Penguins spend 50/50 on land and in water.
